Locus Furniture Exhibition at the Architecture Factory

at the Architecture FactoryA local designer who is currently in the running for an Irish Design Award is to feature as part of a showcase of Cork furniture makers.
In a nod to Design Week 2013, the work of guild members Martin Horgan, who has recently been selected to exhibit at the Greenhouse in Stockholm Furniture Fair, one of Northern Europe's largest and most influential design events and Fergal O’Leary of Horizon Furniture, whose Maryjane stacking chair is shortlisted for best handmade product at the Institute of Designers in Ireland (IDI) Awards will be on display in Cork from today, Friday.
The exhibition will include work from the Cork Guild of Furniture Designers & Makers under the title of Locus. The show is being hosted in CIT's Architecture Factory on Melbourne Road, which was also shortlisted under the IDI Commercial Interiors category last year, having been designed by CIT lecturer Marc O'Riain.
